Course Aims: This specialty course looks at general teaching principles and how they are realized in the English Young Learners classroom. Through practical tasks you will discover what makes young learners unique and how to design activities and lessons that cater to their needs At course completion successful canditades are awarded the internationally-recognized Certificate in Teaching English to Young Learners. This qualification is an ideal complement to an initial TESOL or TEFL qualification or on its own for those only interested in teaching children and teenage students. Entry requirements: Candidates need to be at least 18 years old. No previous teaching experience or qualifications are required. To be accepted on the course candidates need to be proficient in the understanding and use of the English language. The course is open to both native and non-native English language speakers. Course length: The average number of hours course participants tend to employ before completing the course ranges between 50 and 60. This can vary from one individual to the next as no two people learn at the same pace or in the same way. Generally course participants take between two and six weeks to complete the course successfully.
